I saw this when I was surfing ebay thought you guys would get a kick out of this company openly advertising tree topping. They must use spikes on there trim jobs too.

Yea maybe if there was a fine involved we would see it less often. I even hear people saying some of the bigger tree service names in my area, do tree topping as a regular practice. Too many trees look like this.

Some of my company's ads list topping as a service. We very seldom would ever do this though. When I get a call for topping, I try to sell the customer a crown reduction, and educate them on proper pruning. Still.. some people just don't care.

we will match any written estimate is enough for me.

Yeah, I noticed that also, lol. Too bad they aren`t in my area, they`d be working cheap after I wrote up a ton of low ball estimates and then explained to the undesireable customers that I would be too busy for the next 9 months (3 month estimate expiration) or so, but these guys are available.

Its not often you see a tree in that shape around here especialy a broadleaf one. You get people lopping the top 5-10' off a conifer though. Never tree buchery to the extent in that picture.

The local big name tree company did a fantatic job pruning a load of London Plane trees near me. They did raise a crow a little too high on a beach but you can't have everything.
