im new to loggin..i head to oregon on the 2nd...im too broke to buy new boots..they need to be caulked"corked"...anyone got used boots? size 12-13????? ill buy em...thanx

Where in Oregon? If you have a few days before you start your job you'll have no trouble finding a pair of corks in a pawnshop.

in thilomath area...right on..ill have around 2 days before i start..thats good to know..thanx bud....ill check every pawn shop in site

Do you mean Philomath, near Corvallis? If so, you may have a tougher time scoring a 13. There are quite a few pairs on CL, but you'd have to drive.
One piece of advice. Good enough is not good enough. They have to fit exactly. Too small or too loose and you will be looking for a different job and selling your boots to a pawnshop.
Footwear and raingear cannot be second rate, this is a job that you need to have all focus on the work not the fact your feet hurt.

yes philomath near corvallis...i have my whites but they are not caulked....im a climber/arborist here in socal.ive never had to wear corked boots....i got the job but spendin all my funds on getting there

When you get there stop by Timber Supply and ask them about getting your Whites caulked, they can point you in the right direction. Depending on the sole you might already have the divots for caulks. Over here it runs about 60 bucks.

yeah i found that timber supply place...
my soles look ti just be regulsr vibram..no holes for applying the caulks....ill finger it out.....thanx bud..any other gear i might need?
