Looking for Parts for a Stihl 009.

I just got givin to me tonight a nice little stihl 009 grey body...I would say it is in need of a new pistion,ring and jug.. The guy that gave it to me said it got hot he shut it off and want back to start it and now it will not start at all.. So I took the muffler off and looked in ..It is scored to he** and back..I called him and asked him what oil ratio do you run he said 40:1 stihl oil..

So what would make it score like that plus over heat?? if he is running 40:1 oill ratio??Oh and the air cleaner was clean too..

Plus I am looking for the parts ..

Watch the rod bearings on that model when you take the jug off. Loose roller bearings will fall out unless you're very careful. They can be collected and re-installed (ask me how I know!)

Before I buy off of ebay for the parts I need ... I am hoping that someone would have them on here.. I really don't like dealing with ebay..that much..

Stihltech you have a pm.. So what would have made it to score like that .. being he was running 40:1 oil ratio??

lean seizure, which can be caused by air leaks, gummed up carb, leaky fuel
line, improperly adjusted carb, etc....
Instead of fixing that one, buy another one, as they do not sell that well,
so you can get them pretty cheap, or a new one is still around $240.

Hehe the trhottle inkage is awful. Mine needs some new throttle adn trigger parts, that's why it's sitting. Just not built for a big guy to be able to get his hands in it. I was bidding on two blown up ones on ebay about a month or so back but lost. I thoughta bout asking the same question here(about parts) good luck,
