Anyone got the schematics to the BP1, I'm tinkering with an idea, and need to see some things on the schematics to know how they did them. anyone with a copy of them, paper, or PDF, please let me know.
Thats great, but what I want to know, would require you to tear the whole saw apart, and all that, I dotn want to ask you to do that for me. if what I need is in plain old black and white drawing, its much easier for me to understand that way.
McC thanks, could you perhaps tell me how the air charge gets from the ringless piston to the crank case? I'm looking at the pictures, and its stumping me.
This is not my engine, I wish my Uncle were still here to go over this with me again. He was the head mechanic for Rapids distributing in Plover WI in the '60's and early '70's. The carb bolts to the flange where you can see the balance piston. I wish I had this engine in front of me. He also had an engine that was completely disassembled. His son has all of this stuff yet, and 2 running saws, but lives 4hrs away. The balance piston helps pull the fresh charge into the crankcase, and then helps force the charge into the firing cylinder.
