I'm looking for a small chipper, something like the 620.

Am looking at the Bailey's 27hp, would like to hear more about it or others in that range.

Thanks,
Jack

Can you list more about it, like hours, general condition stuff? Maybe a pic?

Am interested.

I've got a Bandit 65 with a 35 hp Wisconsin that I've used for about a year now. Nice machine, keep the knives sharp. Chips most anything under 4" without a problem, anything larger you need to work the feed bar...especially the hardwoods!!! Tows easy and you can get into tighter places with it than you would be able to with a larger machine. Just my $.02!!!

Everyone, thanks for the info, sounds like I'll keep my eye out for a bandit.

The one response for the bandit has not returned any contact info yet. PMed and emailed him.

I would like to know more about the Baileys chippers as well, for 8 grand they seem to offer good value, if they are up to the job! Anyone out there know anything?

The bearcat 6 inch chippers are currently 28,000 NZ dollars here, which is alot of ouch!what are you paying for them in the USA?

How does the Gravely stand with these others?

Thanks,

I have a Gravely 395, its a 9 inch chipper with a 40 hp Yanmar diesel. I am real happy with it and use it quite a bit. It makes extremely small chips. If you set the variable speed to about 50 ft. per second (top speed is 170) it will make chips 1/8 to 1/4 inch. I have had many offers to buy it, and even though I have a Woodsman 18X as well and only one chip truck, I won't sell it. Gravely is not making chippers anymore.
