I would have done a search for this, but I really didn't know what to search for. I'm looking for one those flue pipe caps that rotate like a weathervane so that the opening is always away from the wind. Not only does this prevent the wind from blowing down the pipe, but it also helps to create a suction to pull the smoke up the flue when the wind is blowing. I used to see these all the time, but can't seem to find one now. I've checked all the possible sources here in town with no luck, and a Google search didn't turn up anything (of course it would help if I knew exactly what these are called). I really need this, because when the wind is blowing from the wrong direction, I have a real problem with my draft, and circumstance dictate that I can't re-engineer my stack to solve the problem. This looks the the only answer for me. If anybody knows a source for these for 6" pipe, I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks!

I think this is what you wanted, they are called Wind Directional Cap

I use a diffrent cap, While it is not what you are looking for it might solve your problem too. I use a cap called the draftmaster, it works great, comes with a lifetime warrenty, it is based on some pretty fancy math/physics called the Bernoulli's law.

Thanks for the links! I ordered the one from Famco. Luckily we don't get winds out of the east/northeast too often, so hopefully it will get here before I have a shop full of smoke again...........
