whenever the heat starts to get to me i try to remember the last few weeks before it starts to warm up. those wet overcast dreary days around 35-40 degrees right before business starts to pick back up. that usually makes the heat a bit more bearable for me.
I can not wait to have to work outdoors here in the winter.....often times the low temps are -40F/-40C. I am waiting for my winter work clothing to arrive......... Summer is pleasant though.
I was in Vegas end June in 1994 and the high temps everyday we were there were in the mid 120s, low 100F. Hot, D*MN H*LLISH HOT!
I have spent almost a year total in Iraq that is dry heat. I can actually stand that but the temperatures like in Mississippi and North Carolina where I am at. I hate, I can't stand, I loath, despise, pray for snow, sit in my firdge. Do you get the point I don't like it when it is hot. I grew up in Iowa where it is much cooler and considerable less humidity. The humidity is what makes it the worst I think. I much prefer to shiver than sweat.
Just got in out of the heat today. It hit 100*f today. Don't know what the humidity is but it's up there. The record for today was 100 and I expect it to get a few degrees warmer before the sun goes down. Still better than sub freezing tempatures IMO.
It was 32F/0C at the airport here this morning when I left for work at 0530. From the EC Weather Office: (read in 8 colms: time, sky, temp, relative humidity, winds, humidex/windchill, pressure, vis in km)
