Mac 10-10 not pumping much oil to the chain

Ran out of fuel and checked the chain oil - had hardly used any - like 1/2 inch. I suspected the oil to be near empty because I was pushing the button a lot. I fear there's something wrong with the oil pump. Took the cover off the chain where you tighten it and some oil did come out. Tried to clean up the area around the chain/clutch/oil outlet, but that didn't seem to help. Didn't use much oil again during the rest of the day.

Getting ready to take it apart further to see what's up. Note the push button seems too easy to push. Chain has not loosened up or changed color. Saw cuts fine. Most of the day was light work.

Any guidance is appreciated.

This thread was started 10 years ago but the information is still pretty accurate. To get at the manual oil pump you have to remove the fuel tank from the top of the saw.

Neighbor had a big branch fall off their cottonwood tree and asked me for help.

Pushed the button a few times and took the plate off the side and it looks ok as oil did come out. Will clean it up some and help them. Will remember that link is here for when it is needed, if ever. Thanks.
