I rarely post but read a lot and have learned a lot from this site ... So, I figured this would be the best place to ask for some advise.

I'm trying to get my stepdads MAC-130 running ... He's had the saw forever but hates that it won't stay running so I thought I'd try to fix it for him. I know that it's a fuel related issue so all I'm trying to do is get to the carb. I am stumped though as to how the heck to get the cover off. I've taken out every screw in sight but can't figure out how to expose the carb.

I've worked on and fixed a few Huskys, a poulan, and his other Pro MAC 700 with no problems but this little saw is frustrating the crap out of me ... Does anyone know how the heck to get to the carb? I want to take the carb out and clean/inspect it plus I want to check the fuel lines but am stumped. Can anybody shed some light?

Thanks in advance.

I can take a picture if that would help .... ?

On some of those small McCulloch's you have to pull the whole engine assy. out of the casing to get to the carburetor - a real p.i.t.a., but there's no way around it.

What about the on/off switch? Does that snap off or something? Also does the gas tank/oil resovoir have to come off or does the entire engine slide out of the casing?
