Was out this morning with the Mrs. buying a truckload of flowers and I slipped away in the Home Depot long enough to look at the saws. They had a mid-size Makita model 6100s, 64cc on sale for $499.00. Is this just a Dolmar, and if so what model does it cross to?

It is the same as a Dolmar. The Dolmar 64 cc saw is the PS-6400.

When you say on sale, do you mean new? Or one out of their rental fleet? Around here they only sell them used.... once they are rented so many times. Usually run between $225, and $290. I've got my name on their list for when the new saws are circulated into the fleet.:chainsawguy:

Hey Ductape!

These saws are new, on the shelf and plenty of them. I know this was discussed here before, but for sure in Pa. Home Depot sells new Makita saws. If I was in the market for one I would find a Dolmar dealer and go that way, I can't imagine taking one back to HD for service !:dizzy:
