Can you put the fall arrest suspenders from the Glide saddle on an old Master I saddle? Just curious for use as a harness when in a bucket.

I dont see why not Husky288xp. Why not a short 30 foot rope tied into a fig 8 when you shoulder dem pine logs? I know a guy aint got a few fingers toping a big pine and the stub came back and cut um off against the lip of the bucket.

Later that year he flopped a crane thru a house.

Yearh, the lady was reading the paper in the living room and the kitchen got full of the crane gib.

I was at the hurrican Ivan when that happened Jmack.
I was not pushing his train of 8 40,000 GVW trucks as I had went out on my own. Keeping of of them trucks full is a job friend.

J is a noob to production work :censored:

I have been using my Master saddle for years, it is ripped and torn and in need of bad repair but I cant afford it I got 4 mouths to feed, anyway.
The only problem I have with it is over the years the left side buckle is getting tuffer and tuffer to loosen and tighten. Any suggestion? I stick a saw wrench in to loosen it . The Master saddle has served me many years and even withstood the force of a 1000 lb logs.. LOL

You can do anything you want, Your Steve. Dude you got a bucket?

Man I wish I had a bucket.

No, the guy I work for, here and there, has a bucket but is too stupid to buy a fall arrest harness. So I figured I would try to have a saddle bridge the gap between a positioning saddle and a fall arrest harness.

Bro I would tie into the stick somewhere. Attach a figure 8 or a munter hich to a d carabiner. Keep a 30 foot rope in the bucket. Cut one of his or tell him youll call treeco to get the tree police on his safety rating.. This dude dont care about you bro I know I seen um fer years, it is a corrundium my friend watch your own back. Dont be shouldering or lipping out logs or chunks that bucket will fail, eventually.wheres that thread where the bucket riped apart at...

they sell small bucket lanyards that are legal for the bucket and can clip to your saddle

I would suggest always having a rope in the bucket that will get you to the ground instead of just 30ft.
cut a 120 to 60 keep it with you and if you have to climb out its right there plus you can use it to get down in a emergency

yearr I dont like the fall arrest systems its just long enuff to break your back in the fall and then leave ya haning.

If its just a lanyard it will break your back most have rip stop threads and breakaway slowly like saw lanyards . But they dont break away completely
