Does anyone here use a Maxx chain grinder. I bought one at the Expo and have started using it with limited success. The directions seem geared to ward someone who has already used one. My problem seems to be with the automatic chain tensioner. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Pete

I havn't used mine that much yet but my vice worked ok. Be sure to set the round Gage to the proper chain gage and it should be ok. Jim

Mine works fine. For Stihl I set the vice for the thickness of the drivers. My 375 is .050 " and the 404 is .063". The setting on top is 60 degrees. The cutter is 30 degrees on the front. and the one on the right side stays at zero for semi chisel.(The side scale is not mentioned in the manual.) I always get the wheel to just touch and rotate it by hand a few times before I turn it on and start grinding.

Thanks, the numbers worked good. I realized that I wasn't putting the finger on the tooth to be ground causing it to kick back. The next question I have is how do you keep the inclination angle from moving when you switch to grinding the opposite teeth.
