Those are pretty strong words, ...........

No offense intended. I`ve long been a proponent of the 044. Just stating my opinion that it`s no longer the only game in town.

Hey, none taken, I was admonishing myself for forgetting what a reliable tool the 044/440 is. I beat on Stihl saws pretty hard still not happy with most of their stuff but some are still square.

And on the other hand all day long while bucking Alder, I could'nt stop thinking about how nice that PP7900 of Rogers cut. Asked him if he wanted me to break it in for him today he musta thought I was'nt serious.

How could I let you touch it, ya bum, she told me she only had vibes for me.....I kept it under the covers last nite...

reminded me of the old skier's line, back when a small Japanese company made skis:

"Give me Rossignol, or give me Head...and then, Swallow"

RBtree,

If I had known your name was Roger too, I would have chose a different name than rb_in_va. Your last name isn't Brown is it? To keep the confusion down, I should call myself newbieRB. How's that?

wiley_p what type of Modifications did you do your Carb. How was the saw acting that indicated it needed adjustment?

Not entirely sure what ole Steve does, takes the limiter caps off for sure, and think he does something or othetr with the needle and seat, not certain though. He hits me for an hour shop time, takes a 4-5 pull too lean saw to a sit in the truck over the weekend 1 maybe two pull rig, and I can actually richen the high end.
