I finally got the saw clean up pretty well and cutting. I bought a new 1/2" chain for the 32" bar that cuts really well. I laid three of the chips on top of the gas tank to show yall how well the new chain cuts.

I wish that I had a bigger log, but I have no way of lifting it onto my saw buck. I hope that I can get the neighbor to set me a nice one on there with his tractor soon.

Nice saw Stink
Sounds good and healthy.

Thanks! Something still isn't quite right. After making a cut it takes a little longer than normal for the saw to come down to a normal idle. I don't know if it's a minor carb adjustment issue or what.

looks like it will make a jim dandy limbing saw!

it sounds good. have you checked to see that the linkage is moving freely?

seeing you old macs makes me want to get the 890 and 1-80 running as they should.

The 1-60 should have a Tillotson carburetor and uses a spring to return the throttle to idle, as mentioned check the linkages and spring to make sure they are free.

I think a 32" bar may be a bit much for that saw but you will have fun with it, no doubt.

Bob Johnson used to have the spike kits, may have some again. If you can't come up with something let me know and I can send you a tracing so you can make your own.

I will check with Bob this evening. If he doesn't have them I will send you my email address.

I would think that if it were an air leak that the saw wouldn't hold a tune on the high side though. I'm not sure though. I'm not done fooling with it yet though. Thanks for the thoughts.

Well I tinkered with the 1-60 last night. First, I checked the throttle linkage, and everything seemed alright. Next, I adjusted the low side richer and adjusted the idle speed. That was the issue. It was lean on the low side adjustement. That is why it was slow to go back to a normal idle. Now it revs, cuts, and idles like it is supposed to. I may get a chance to make another video this evening with the saw running like it is supposed to. Thanks for the tips.
