Hi,
Got this clean McCulloch 250 to trade for an Echo or Homelite from the list shown below.
It has nice compression, but absolutely no spark. It is 80 cc, has a 20" engraved bar, Tillotson carb, nice paint, can't see any chain rash.

Saws wanted:
Homelite: 450, 550, 650, 750, 1000, 1020, 1050, 1100, 1130, 2000, 2100, 3100.
Echo: 601, 602, 701, 702, 801, 802, 1001VL, 1100, 1200.

I will consider your saw no matter what condition it is in...locked up, dismantled, missing parts, etc.

Thanks, Den.

Update: Late last night after work I was staring at this saw thinking about how extremely clean it is. Decided to check for spark again.

Put the spark tester on it, pulled 7 times with no spark, but on the 8th pull it had perfect spark, then no more spark until another 5 pulls.
So I felt around and discovered the magneto was moving loose on its mount. If I get a chance in the next few days, I'll set the air gap, tighten it, and put some pre-mix fuel in it to start it. This saw is pretty nice...I should put some time and effort into starting it.

I have 2 Super XL’s with no spark but good compression and I will say they’re in really good shape. Can’t imagine they have any hours at all from the looks of it. HaRdly no paint loss. I believe they were bought as a pair when new. Couple spare carbs and misc. parts to go with em as well.

I can get pics if you don’t have anything lined up with other members at the moment.

Matthew
