A very nice example. The is the way it came of the shelf after sitting for several years. The saw has great compression and the piston is perfect. I dribbled some mix and it fired right off. A couple of very minor problems- a small tear in the chip screen on the starter, and the choke lever is broken but can still be used. Also, the dawgs are missing. It comes with a 16" Mac branded bar.

$75 + shipping.

Hi Neal, what do you consider to be good compression on this series saw. I have a good running 1-42 but I have never compared it to another.

Neal that's the choke button that's broken. It's a 'push and turn to lock' type. That small roll pin rides in an 'L' shaped groove in the carb box/handle casting. If I had a spare I'd send you one. Oiler button on the left looks fine.

Here's a Chainsawr listing for one of those buttons...........showing the roll pin (which must be driven out before the button can be slid forward into the carb box and removed) along with the 'lever handle' that threads into it and sticks up when installed.

In this second Chainsawr listing you can see the choke button assembled (with the roll pin and little 'lever handle').

You're welcome Neal. Confusion is understandable, given the differing choke button locations on the two Macs you have listed. This looks to be a very nice saw. Somebody's going to get a great deal.
