After cutting several trees down and saw working fine, the next time I started the saw the negine would race and then stall. Using fresh gas and oil, carb adjustments don't help.

Any ideas.

Thanks,

Phigri:

Soulds like an air leak.

If you cut several trees, you have probably run out of the magic out of the saw. They shipped just enough magic with those small McCullochs to last, maybe 20 hours. There used to be many guys around that could trick the McCullochs into running longer, but the McCulloch curse has afflicted most of those guys to where they are dead or are all crippled up. Its pretty much dependant on their length of exposure. It is sad to run across one of them.

Could be that some junk got in the carb and is leaning it out. Or maybe a pulse hose? Of course, it is a Mac 320...
