I have just acquired an old McCulloch chainsaw model 60013203. Took it apart to clean and repair electrical issue. I cannot reassemble the throttle trigger, cable and spring due to spring tension when trying to put handle pieces together. I need a parts diagram to be sure I have the throttle spring in the correct location and would also welcome any tips.

I just finished working on one. they are extreamly hard to put back together. How I did it is disconect the throttle spring so you can move the trigger more then get a needle nose pliers and go in the muffler side and push the little piece of metal to full throttle on the carb. meanwhile pushing the trigger forward and mine popped in. hope that helps

Putting the handle back together

I am in a similar situation. I had to replace the fuel line from the tank and that meant removing a LOT of pieces. Now I am down to getting the handle back together. I worked at it for while and decided to give it a rest. I will try again tomorrow. If anyone knows a trick, please pass it along.

Assemble all the trigger, spring and presense (deadman) lever parts in the right hand half of the handle. Hold it in place with scotch tape or rubber band. Remove tape/rubber band after you get it started back together.
