Can anyone tell me what model chainsaw this is? The foil tag is so worn down that I can't make out any of the numbers.

I've had this saw for a long time, but never had a clue of its age. The engine is not seized, however the recoil needs to be replaced because it won't recoil any more.

Thanks for the help! I love this site!

Next question....is it of any real value? It doesn't run currenlty, but probably could with a little bit of work. It's not seized, but the carb should be gone through, and it obviously needs fresh gas. The bar oiler still works.

I don't really have any interest in keeping it, but would sell it. Or, just toss it in the trash.

Pretty much garbage, eh?

I attached two smaller pictures.

Sounds like I should just throw it in the trash....or list it on eBay for parts.

Piece of history

I wouldn't trash it-too bad you're so far away or I'd offer you the free use of my mobile trash bin! Someone will want it-piece of history there worth reviving!

Check it out .. take the spark plug out, clean it if it's really funky, spray some carb cleaner in the hole, replace spark plug, pull and see if it starts .. if it runs for a couple seconds then dies, it's worth fixing IMO.
