Well my newly acquired McCulloch has a slight issue, the piston is rusted to the cylinder! Soaked it in vinegar and baking soda then I used evaporust and now ATF.
If it comes out I'll hone the cylinder and try to save the piston, if not LRB has a piston and rings. I've been able to save all the gaskets so I'll make new ones and use these as templates.
I'll keep you all informed as to my progress.

Update on the Super 44A.
Well it only took me a week but I finally got the piston freed from the cylinder, lots of gunk and rust.
Cylinder wasn't bad at all so I simply honed it and it looks great, piston is in good shape too but I need to soak it more so the rings can spring out of their grooves.
I'm going to order a new set from Caber and decide if I'm going to use the piston or buy an aftermarket one.
I will need a replacement case cover due to magnesium rot #52489 if you have a spare let me know[emoji106]
