Tired of using trash cans to stuff small brush into when cleaning up, There to small. Where does everybody get those big wide mouth cans that are easier to fit things into there green. Look at the picture I have attached there's one on the chipper and one in the back of the truck. Everyone has these cans but I don't know where to find them.

I know exactly the ones you are looking for but I can't find the company. I believe it was one that makes chemical and spray tanks. They only sold them in quantities of 5 for around $235. If I find them I'll post back.

check with your local mower sales/repair shop... alot of the grass crews do spring/fall clean ups... im sure they could point you in the right direction...

Man, I tried cans, didn't like them, went back to wheel barrels. Seem more versatile to me. U can still dump them in the back of a chipper truck, we do it all the time. We also have the dump trailer with us most of the time, so all the junk goes in that at the end of the day, most of the time. We always have a 2 wheeler with us and I could see a can with one of those

You guys are all using trash cans to gather up your crap? Man that looks slow!

A lot of guys in aus use tarps. I use 6x4 heavy duty tarps, cost a few bucks a piece. Lay them out on the ground, throw all your crap on them, then drag them to the chipper. They last about a month. You can throw a whole lot of crap on them, and one guy can drag them easy. I usually carry 3 or 4.

Normally the stuff that goes into the trash can gets throw right into the back of the truck. I just lay the can on its side, rake the stuff in and go dump it.

Good to see us covering some of the more technical aspects of the job today!!

I asked a landscaper buddy of mine where the hell you get those giant "slave driver barrels" (what I call em) once. I forgot what he said. I never understood the point of a barrell so big, that ya can't even pick the stupid thing up once its full..

If you look at them they aren't meant for heavy stuff. They are pretty thin. I don't have any but I suppose they would be good for leaves, saw chips and twigs from a clean up. Easier than a tarp to dump into the back of the truck. Don't try to fill one with grinder chips though.

Yep we use tarps as well:clap:

John Deere Landscapes had them here. Just tried to find on their website but it sucks. We just use the Brute ones from Home Depot, they last a while and true if there are full of grindings, good luck getting that up on your shoulder by yourself!

I use tarps most of the time for the big chipable stuff and a 40gallon rubbermaid tote, that I garbage picked, for the fines.
