Mike's info and its uses

Mike Acres' website is one of the most useful out there as far as chainsaw info. Now, I've noticed a lot of eBay sellers (one in particular) who copy an entire saw page, verbatim, into their auctions.

This may sound silly, but I've always thought folks should at least go to the trouble of writing up their own descriptions, regardless of where they get their information.

Not silly at all.  A re-write and/or proper attribution would definitely be in order.

I wish he'd get some info on this Stihl 311Y chainsaw I've got.&nbsp; It must be rare because I can't find any literature on it anywhere; and it's been so well kept it still looks almost like new - I bet it's worth a lot<font face="fixed">...</font>

I happened to notice a sticker on the right side of the 026 at work. There on the sticker was printed Stihl chainsaw 311Y. Don't know what it means , but it was there.

311Y is the government safety spec it complies with. Sort of a running joke here. You get lots of folks on eBay listing "Stihl (or Sthil) 311Y chainsaw". Could be anything from an 009 to an 090.

I agree. Even better would be to post just a little info, then post the URL of Mike's site for more details; Mike gets the credit for his hard work, at least. Any ebay browser that cant Highlight, hit "control+n" and paste can learn how quick enough if the seller isn't able to HTML enough to post a link.

awe givum a break, they aint got enough sense enough to do it their self.
excuse me boys ,just got back from the beach and the gin flowin.
i think i worked about half a day. sure hope i was where i wus suppose to be. guess ill find out tommorow. later now tm. dont tell my wife ,she aint home yet,lol
