Amazing story about how red color comes into wood. Apparently not a virus from the soil or a Fusarium fungus, but made by the tree in response to wounding!!

You guys who have boxelder to remove (we don't have many in NC), see if they can be wounded now and harvested in a year or two so the color can form...?
