I have a couple burls in my timber that I would like to slab to make cutting boards, clock blanks etc. They are about 20 inches in diameter and no longer than one or two feet long. They are too small to cut on my mill and was wondering if anyone has cut burls on a Logosol M7 before. I was trying to think of a way to mount the burl on a plank so it would reach across the supports but have not come up with a way to keep it stable enough. Any ideas? Also interested in suggestions for drying the slabs once i have them cut.
