Want to Buy Milling saw (100cc+)

A neighbor of mine is looking for a milling saw. He already has a Granberg Alaskan mill setup and will buy a bar to fit it depending on what saw he gets, so I'm looking for a powerhead only.

Hi budget's $500 and below. Weight doesn't matter to him, but he does want something that parts are relatively available for.

Is he partial to a particular brand?

Not at all. And weight and speed doesn't bother him either. He just wants something to occasionally mill with.

My only request regarding whatever saws are offered would be that it's not something TOO obscure, so that if a coil goes or when it eventually needs a ring (or piston), parts can be sourced within reason.

Something like a Stihl 075 comes to mind.

He keeps trying to get me to sell my Partner p100's to him, but they're not going anywhere, and if someone in this thread offers up a p100, I'm buying it.

That's what I was thinking- 075/076. I've got one to go through here soon. It's getting new Caber rings and a new fuel system. I've got several bars for it too.
