I have a Boxer 427 mini skid w/tracks. I am planning on renting a 50' towable aerial lift to take down a large, dead tree in someone's back yard. The lift weighs approximately 5000 lbs.

Will I be able to move the lift around with my mini skid. I will also need to pull the lift back up a slight incline.

My boxer wheeled 427 pulls my 10,000 lb gvw trailer or my 6,000 lb chipper without a problem. The incline might screw ya. But it is definitely capable.

Pretty much any diesel mini skid will handle my genie tz50. Honda gassers (24hp) will also handle it although the smaller (20hp and less) kohlers are tasked on anything but hard, level ground.

grass inclines are often a traction issue. While a mini may have plenty of power to pull a lift, it can be difficult at times getting that power down to the ground without slipping the tracks. The larger (30hp plus) diesel machines weighing in at 3000# have little difficulty in any conditions.
