missing "xp" in 254

Hey guys, if the black serial number plate on a husky says 254, but the side and top stickers say 254xp, which is it? dumb question but i need to know for sure.

Nothing to worry about, that is pretty usual with Huskys - but there were a "streigh" 254, before it was renamed 254xp - about at the same time that they changed the design of the starter cover.

What is the serial number on your saw (the first four digits is enough).....:yoyo:

the number is 7320452, in the year of 1997.

Then it is made week 32, 1997, and it surely is a xp - no worries, except it may have been made on a Monday. :greenchainsaw:

my new saw is the opposite, XP on the black plate, but not on the top white sticker. side sticker says XP.
