I have a M&M chipper powered by a 6 cyl. ford engine. It has a belt driven governor that has a broken housing. Does anyone know of a place where I might be able to locate a used governor. thanks

Old Asplundh ford powered belt driven governors frequently were made by pierce hoof, which is now pierce lockcraft upland IN 46989. 1800 428 0207.
I've seen Hoof governors on ebay for like 30, but who knows what fits easily.
Also, have seen comments on this site from owners who have decommisioned govs on chippers and swear life is better without them. Good Luck.

Check with this place Power Zone Equipment, Inc . I bought an alternator pulley for my Ford 300 engine from them, they may have some used governors available. They also have an ebay store Pump Engine triplex duplex Oil Gas Oilfield Reciprocating items - Get great deals on items on eBay Stores! . If you have all the pieces of your old one you can probably have it welded.
