I just picked up my first dirty old chipper. most of the bolt's surprisingly came out but the blocks that hold the knives in are extremely stuck. was able to get two of the side ones out but have No idea how ill get the middle ones loose. if anyone has experienced this and has advice, it will be very helpfull. thanks

Was there a 4th threaded hole with no bolt? Should be able to screw one in there and itll push the block out.

theres is just two holes for the bolts and a third lock screw that goes over the left bolt

Glad you figured it out. The M&M is actually a pretty good chipper, way ahead of its time. I like the blade system better then any other chuck & duck and, once you figure out how to do them, are actually quite easy and fast. They chip great.

got em out! with all new knives and it actually chips well. now just need to get the pto right and air filter.
I'm have the same problem with the middle knives. I'm bring an old mitts and Merrill back to life. It's been sitting in the woods for 20years and I'm on the last step changing the blades. There really set in there good. I've tried heat with candle wax. Next step will be to weld a hook to the blade in order to pull the block out. Looking for a little help
