Mobark 290 Thinking mid to later 80's

My Morbark 290 blew a rod and cracked the block. Its a Hercules G1600 4cyl gas. I have been looking for close to a year for a block or complete swap, I came across a 1996 chuck and duck with ford straight 6 complete working engine, back unit is shot. The chuck mounts side ways and the morbark is a front mount, I believe there is enough room for the ford to sit forward. Looking for any concern, or problems that may come up that I am not away of. the complete unit with engine is 800. TIA
