Any one have one or used one? I am looking at one for a second chipper. Its 100hp disc and very low hours. Great shape.

Might be ok. Like I said in the past, I haven't run one bit have heard it's a pain to run. Some days great, others, very frustrating. That's why I went with a Vermeer, same size. Theirs was brand new, 2013.

Thanks for the input cape. I used it all day today and ended up buying it. I have owned a BC1000 before. Decent machine but seems a little underpowered. I have been a Vermeer guy all along. Currently have a 1500. It's a good machine but all the electronic sensors and solinoids are a pain in the ass. I think the 12" morbark will be a good little second chipper. It eats wood and is built like a tank! Once the 1500 gets up in hours it may be time to step up to an 18" machine.

Just spoke with a guy that runs the machine. He says the yellow kill plug (?) constantly shakes or becomes loose to shut down the machine. Says it's a safety feature for the machine when you work on it or raise the infeed wheels to remove something. Kills the entire machine while they work too many times.

There is a Morbark M12D for sale locally for a real attractive price. Looks a little rough, but my boss and me were going to go and check it out when we are in that neck of the woods later in the week. Good to know a few of its quirks.

We own a 250XP so maybe better to stay with what we know. There is also an 18" Bandit with well under 1000 hours for an unbelievable price, but it is much further away (1000 kms) ..... someone say road trip!
