woke up last night to the sound of transformers in the alley blowing up! we got about two inches of really wet slop! just when we had just started to get caught up from the blizzard back in march. everything had pretty much leafed out too- lots of damage. it started snowing in denver last night at ten, so i'll bet they got alot more damage down south.
i guess this this is more or less a lesson on what species to plant in the future, because this type of weather has been happening alot in the past few years.seems that our ash,hackberry, and locusts fare the best in these storms (and obviously the oaks-what little we have here).
