I just got back from Morton and a weekend of racing. In the open class the results were.

1. Dennis Cahoon 2.85
2. Steve Johnson 3.05
3. Rotax Robert 3.08
4. Jeff Skirvin 3.09
5. Mel Lentz 3.12
6. ???

I will say there was some real tough competition out there this year.

What saws were people running, robert? 090's, 088, and 3120's, I reckon... what size type of wood?

Hope you ran and did well with the Predator and Rotax...

Unless my math is wrong that is less than 1/3 of a second from first to fifth place. That is certainly a close race! I have raced against Dennis Cahoon about twenty times and only beat him a couple of times. He is a tough one to beat. We are proud of you Robert. Mike

Robert..what happened?? a whole third of a second behind??? we need to work on your technique I guess...lol....good work buddy...those are some fast boys you were racing..

can we talk you into a weekend of tunes in October up here??

Robert probably would have won, but he had to replace 4 teeth that were damaged at the show last weekend when his Rotax pulled the chain apart with all that power. Those 4 teeth were not de-chromed and the side angle was not changed to match the teeth with the rest of the chain. When you are within hundredths of a second, that makes a difference, not to mention going against 500 c.c. engines. I'm not making excuses for Robert, because he never does, but those are the facts.

Competition could have been tuffer but Dennis Harvey did'nt show, good job Robert, you held your own against some of the best. Did Dennis Cahoon run his 500 Honda? its one bad machine! Once again you did good!!! Jon

No ex-cusses needed here, I made a good cut the first day and a worse one the next. I had the chain to win if I had stepped up and got the job done. Special thanks are givin to Art, Ken, and many others over my few years of racing. I got got to meet and race against the fastest saws in the world and the men who ran them, they were true gentlemen untill it was time to race. Nuff Said....I guess I'll just have to gun-em down in Orifino ID.
And KD. let DC. know that he is first on my list to gun down.

It was a great show with great competitors.
