Well after a bunch of internal debate, looking at what would cover my needs, I have landed on a 3-saw battery.

Here is what I have landed on for a 3-saw battery:

Small Saw - MS180 with TsuMura 14” regular bar 3/8lp .050 chain. This saw has single dog added, a muffler mod, and a WT215 adjustable carb ordered for it.

Medium Saw - MS261c with 18” TsuMura light bar .325 .063 chain

Big Saw - MS462c with 24” TsuMura light bar 3/8 .063 chain

I think this will cover pretty much everything. If I ever run into something the 24” TsuMura won’t handle I can order up a 28” or 32” for that blue moon event.

Nice 👍.

If ever get to 2 saw plan i will add ms261 with 18" .325 bar to my ms170 with 12 and 16 inch bars.

I do clearing, thinning, make fence posts, and a bit of firewood on land that hasn't been maintained for 30 yrs.

mostly i run into 6-8 inch trees at waist height.
when i have sharp chains, i can't justify yet stepping up for 2nd saw, but that may or not change.

only place i felt i needed more power is really hard wood stumping (criss-cross slicing), but can't justify getting new saw just for that + i use old bar and chains doing it...
