I replaced the cable on the winch with a heavier cable made for over head lifting. I have mine removable for a truck but it could be put on anything.

Can’t build much for that. See similar engine hoists quite ofgten for 100-150, even new for under 250 May be too slow if you have every single big round, but for a 5x a day could work. I still like a log lift shelf the best, use as a staging table mostly.
