Mounting an ignition chip on my 032AV

Hello,

I’ve successfully converted my 032 AV from points to an electronic ignition, but the ignition chip isn’t in a great position.

the saw is somewhat tight and I’m having a hard time finding a good location for the chip to call home.
Any advice?

The chip is the regular sized Oregon 2-pronged chip.

On some saws I have mounted it below the coil on the bottom of the case (inside) with a small screw and locknut. This way the fan keeps it cool.

On the 032, I mount it on the upper coil bolt. You will need a longer screw.

Yeah, it is easy unlike the 031.
