MS 180 prob

my MS 180 all of a sudden yesterday started to run really strange. It has alway started on the second pull, but yesterday I had to crank it several times. Once it did start she started idiling really high and wouldn't let me give it full throttle. If I pulled the gas, it would bog right down. After a while it was running decent, but still wasn't running top notch. Is this a carb prob or a simple air filter problem. Anyone??

Either starving for gas or an air leak from the sound of it. Check the pickup filter and replace it if it looks dodgy.

I had the same problem after it sat for a while...just run some fresh gas thru it and it might be fixed. my dealer said run the heck out of it, probably had some oil settled out of it in the carb, sure enough it worked. if it ran when you put it up, dont dismiss the simple stuff before you start tearing into it. good luck
