Well i have this ms360pro that someone put strait gas in. The saw ran pretty good for weeks after that though, Until it got hard to start. I pulled it apart and took a couple of pics. The rings were a little stuck in the piston groove. The piston is for sure a gonner but im wondering about the cylinder. It looks rough in the pics, but I'd say that there is no grooves\, mostly like a buildup of foreign material [piston chips]. Im no expert like you guys, so I'm asking what do yall think on this cylinder?

I would just hone it out, throw some new rings on it and see how she runs. Since Stihl wants crazy prices for a new topend kit.

Just my two cents worth

Until you clean out the smeared piston and hone it, you really can't tell... Chuck the piston.

I seen worse come clean, and better looking cyinders that ended up bad..

You can get a new Tecomec piston and cylinder for about $120... maybe a little more.
