Ryan, Where did you get an 8 tooth sprocket for 3/8's chain?
The Oregon Catalog lists only a 7 tooth for small spline hub.

I checked Bailey's Chistmas catalog. They list only the .375 X 7 tooth sprocket. Maybe their main catalog has more to offer.

i thought they had them Rich, i suppose its possible that i have a 7 pin on it but last time i replaced it i could have sworn that it was an 8 pin. i'll have to check when i get back on sunday if i remember:angel:

My local dealer told me the literature he has does not list an 8 pin 3/8 for the 036.

Anyone interested in 3/8" 8 pin sprockets should check out Madsens.They may have what you're looking for.

Rich and others, someone might check a Herr catalog. I can't seem to locate mine at the moment. If they list a rim type drum for the 036, then it is an easy matter because large spline 8 tooth rims are common. You could just switch it.

My 036 has a small spline. I think they may have gone to large on the 360's?

I found Herr's website at , Herrmfg.com

They do not have rim drum to fit an 036, so what I suggested won't work.

In light of that I would agree with Fish and recommend a 3/8 pitch chain.

UNLESS you put the 440 sprocket and bearing on, then you can run an 8 tooth.
