MS 361 Impulse Line

I've got an old MS 361 that I am trying to repair, and I have run into a bit of trouble. The impulse line is connected to the crankcase, but I don't see where to connect it behind the carb. I have pulled it through it's housing, but I am not sure what to do with it now...am I missing a grommet?

It does not come through the hole. To the right behind the hole is a nipple it goes on I believe.

I was told when this happened to mine to use a new impulse hose because the av mounts are rather soft on that model saw and the brittle hoses pull off easily..I would try to use a Stihl line rather than aftermarket for this...

Nothing. It’s where most other Stihl impulse hoses are but the 361 doesn’t use it

I don't understand how this works. I (think) I found a little nipple on the back carb mounting plastic but it doesn't connect to the rubber manifold. How would it work if it doesn't connect to anything?

There is a hole in the boot that lines up with the proper impulse barb on one side and lines up with the impulse passage in the carburetor on the other side
