After reading this thread on Stihl 361 full wrap bars by Lakeside53, I really wanted one. Lo and behold, a few new OEM kits showed up on Ebay recently for a good price. Although the kit available only included the bar, updated a/v mount, and screws, I figured I would see how it went without the added dog and larger clutch cover.

I thought I would take a few pictures of the kit nice and clean, before I tried it out this weekend. The new bar has thicker grip material than the original, and is made of metal instead of plastic. It feels far more substantial to me. Being an OEM kit, the fit and finish is on par with the saw itself. Can't wait to try it.

Some eye candy......

How come that saw is so clean?

Had to ask before Gas did.

Clean Saw

I admit, it is still a virgin :biggrinbounce2: . I just bought it a while back, and haven't gotten around to playing with it or taking it out yet. Been fighting with an older, cranky 440.

I guess I need some before and after pictures!

Great looking handle bar there. I wasn't quite sold on the stock uber plastique,(too much time on a bro in law 's ms290?) but that set up is the ticket, sweet!

good find on the flea. I was about to order the kit from my dealer today. Already had the double dogs so just the bar is fine.

Yep, I think the 361 is a bit small for a West Coast full wrap saw, but what do I know....:help: :help:

Troll you should try it on your 372 though very nice :)
and you don't loose the angle of the handle :p

Ha Ha, I really don't need that saw, just wanted it - and it is a really nice blocking saw - can't wait to try it with a 16" and 3/8"x8, for bucking..,.....:greenchainsaw: :greenchainsaw:

Heading out tomorrow! I noticed today that the ebay guy is now out of the 361 full wraps. Wonder where they all went??:blob2:

I think that I'd consider the full wrap bar even if I didn't live in the Northwest:laugh: To me, the saw feels much more solid in my hands, and the additional padding makes it more comfortable and easier to hold. I suppose that part of the perceived comfort factor, for me at least, could be that most of my saws have the full wrap, so I am just used to it.
