Ms440 bottom muffler holes stripped

Should I take the course thread screws and JB weld on them and try it that way or could I use like self-tapping sheet metal screws

Just run a 6mm x 1.0 tap through the stripped out holes and use 6mm cap head hex drive bolts of the same length as the originals.
Might have to clearance clearance drill the muffler box and cover, or file the holes a little larger.

This is the answer. Saws larger than that came with M6 already. No dicking around with Helicoils or inserts coming loose
