Looking for a ported muffler. Single or dual, doesn’t matter as long as it’s a proven design.
Need the whole thing, not just a front.
Thanks!

EBay bro. Lots of options there. May have to buy just a cover if you want a particular one, and then a muffler too. If you’ve ported your saw don’t forget to match the muffler inlet to the exhaust port.

Cool. I’ve seen plenty of them. Guess I was looking for some input as to verifiable performance increase from anyone who had used specific ones. Thanks!

Well. I’ve got one aluminum one that takes two of the newer Stihl spark arrestors as the outlets, and one stamped steel one with some huge ports in it, got to be almost an inch in diameter. Aluminum one was like $50 and the stamped steel one was like $18. They both sound good look good run good. Neither saw is stock. I have cleaned up the ports, added flow where I could see the advantages, no timing changes tho. Both saws are aftermarket 54mm big bore cylinders, so there was plenty to “clean up”.

Maybe this will be more helpluff. Maybe not. I think any 460 would respond well to a little more flow out the exhaust, just not too much. Good luck!

Solid response and input… Truly appreciate it

Don’t look for a whole lot of gain out of a stock saw with a a ported muffler, certainly not the 10 to 15% that is often claimed. Sounds better but the big plus is getting heat out of your engine.

He’s right. Some of y’all must know it.
