Could any of you give me more infos about this MS461? How old is it?

Under the throttle handle is a manufactures sticker. Look for DOM.

So the saw wasn't sold in France? How did it get over there? Or can you look up Europe Stihl serial numbers?

yes, un the US. 461 isn't sold anymore since at least 2 years now, and part saws are scarce

What kind of hoops did you have to jump through to get a saw to France? A stack of money?
