Is that from a hone? Not much going on down there. Sand it smooth and it will be fine

No, was there before I started to clean the transfer with acid and fine wet/dry paper. Polished with green scotch guard.
It is worn through the plating in that one spot…pretty weird.
I hadn’t noticed until after the cyl got a Sonic bath in soapy(dawn) water.
I figured it would be ok down that far. New OE piston kit ordered.

Try some ScotchBrite next time......
ScotchGuard to prevent unsightly piston stains.
