Got a couple minor issues with my mini skid. Haven't had the time to look at it yet - maybe this weekend - just wondering what you think...

1) Can water get into the control levers? My lift arm control won't move until my mt50 warms up for a while and I move the other controls back and forth to warm things up. Maybe moisture is in the control and freezes up?

2) When I turn the key to the 'off' position, the machine stutters a bit like it's going to turn off but then keeps running. Only way to shut it off is to stall the motor by locking the grapple control on while on low idle. Cylinoid or ignition module or something else? Other than replacing either with a new part, how would I troubleshoot the problem?

(Thanks - I'm a good arborist but just a novice mechanic. I can do stuff if given some direction).

I bought my Mt-52 because of what you've said. It's everything you said. A great tool. There have been 2 times this summer when my controller has been up and to the right; where it has required me pulling with both hands to get it back into the center position. I've been wondering if one day I won't be able to pull the lever back without breaking it.
Sorry I can't help, but I do want you to know that I read your posts with special interest. Thanks!

As far as freezing up, my bucket truck outrigger lever jammed up last week. I found that water had gotten into the mechanism and frozen. Easy fix but yes it can happen. Good luck..... Mike
