Yet somehow the MarkII outsells the Echo offerings by a landslide. If they were truly groundbreaking guys would be fighting over them like the last Tickle Me Elmo on the shelf.

They are old designs that appeal to some guys because they are cheap. Probably a better deal than a clamshell from Stihl or Husky although a 450 rancher makes more power.

Remember walker, you said it yourself, you have no modern day experience with Echo since the Echo Kioritz days.

No one suggested they are low in quality. I certainly never have.
The are just old designs that lack in performance and that's why they are cheap.

What is that I hear cutting wood without bearing issues. Reliable to use and cut with and wood cant tell the difference.

Have yet to hear echo or any other company for that matter except husky installing pistons backwards in their saws to date at the factory and selling to folks. Batches of 390 and 395. 2 batches of 390's.

Wont even get into their problems with newer 5 series saws. I'm just not blinded as some and have a open mind to try other O P E myself.
Again no bias on brand. I help run a large husky group and see lot of their mistakes.

Guy wanting to buy my last on shelf chrome bore 54cc 3.3 335 from me.

They were little heavy at PHO dry they come on 11lbs 7-13oz but made in 90's.


This thread made me realize just from the few saws I have posted. I have owned alot of different brands of saws over the years.

Guy had these made to put on 346 353 etc series saws. So they don't weeble wobble and fall down on side.

Said he uses them on all his saws.

So told him send one my way.

Getting ready to have someone in CRG make another batch so others can get them. Seems to be wanted by alot of folks there.
