Hey all has anybody modified a muffler on a 268 Husky. I tried the one for the 372 and lo and behold it's a real saw now, use it as our falling saw for lighting fires and have been putting down some fattie lumpkins with it 50 to 60" DBH with a 32 " bar. Saw has good Hp now and will keep that chain running strong when the whole bar is buried in the cut. Whats the deal with using a 8 tooth sprocket instead of the stock 7 is it because it will give you more torque. Thanks for replys

An 8 tooth sprocket as opposed to a 7 will give you more chain speed at the expense of some torque. But the mods to the saw will make up for the torque loss.
