I can't find any Mobil MX2T synthetic in Wisconsin. I'm dieing to get a case of 2 or 3. Let me know if any knows where to get some. Or would someone be willing to sell me 2 or 3 cases for a reasonable price plus shipping. Private message me or post a new thread here. Thanks a lot and have a great day!

Called another autozone in Appleton a couple minutes ago. The lady said she checked The shelf and they have it for 6.99/Qt. I thought it came in pint bottles. Is this correct or is she mistaking a pint for a quart. Do they have a website(Autozone) I mean?

Just because the Autozone staff says they dont carry it doesnt mean they dont have it. Its found on the racks that contain motor oil.
Autozone seems to get more than its fair share of moron employees.

Plus Mobil now calls it "Mobil One Racing 2T" so the moron employees may be correct when they say that they don't have MX2T. Darn the auto parts guys who don't keep up with the latest corporate name changes!

I'm going to get some from autozone in Stevens Point tonight for 6.99/Quart.
Yes it is now called mobil 1 2T. Sounds like a pretty good deal. Probably run it about 40:1 with 3 quarts 87 octane pump gas and 1 quart of Turbo blue 110. Maybe 1 ounce of Marvel Mystery oil in with that too. That should be a pretty safe combination.

NOw I'm using regular husky oil at 40:1, with An extra ounce of Marvel Mystery oil per gallon. with the same combo as above without the MX2t. My saws all run very well, and smell good too.

Thanks for all your help with the MX2T locating and questions.

All you need is the mobil oil and gas, the other stuff isnt necessary, add it if you like, but its not required.

I wouldnt add marvel mystery oil or turbo blue to anything... If your ever in Iron mountain( its fairly close to you) stop by Bertoldi oil. You can buy racing 2t for under $6 per quart from them.

i wouldnt add anything. mobile an high test. 40-1 to one should be fine. good luck.
i have to admit i ad a touch of husky oil now so the helper will know the difference in my gas. god help him if he put mower gas in one of my saws. no i wouldnt hurt him . but id sure be oine sad country boy. mine is the old mx2t that had no dye. i bought plenty ,in case i had a hard time getting it.

2t

Yep I got some 2t last nite in Stevens Point at Autozone. 6.99 a quart. Yes it is dyed red now. I bought 5 quarts. When the cashier rung it up it came to 36 dollars and something. My girlfriend just about had a bird. Yes I need to educate her more on some of the finer points of woodcutting. I just told her it was one of the best two cycle oils you could get. Most of the pro's on arborist site use it ,and now so am I. It'll be a while before I can mix some up. I have to use up about 2 gallons of my other gas. Find some big wood for the 066 and it won't take long. Well thanks again for your help in locating the MX2T. I truly believe it'll probably be the only two cycle I'll use for quite a while now! Have a great day folks.

100LL av gas

Do you think running pure 100LL av gas and Mobil 1 MX2T would work out good. I'm sure I'll probably have to lean out the high mixture a bit, but that's alright. I have an airport about 2 miles away where I can get the av gas. I'll probably mix 40:1. Let me know what you think, and thanks again!

I just picked up a pint at my local AutoZone in Mass. They also had quarts of Mobil one racing 2 T(or something like that), is this the same stuff?

What is with all the avgas afficianados here? I understand it is more stable, but that seems like the only real advantage. It reminds me of my motorcycle roadracing days when guys running production class bikes would run 110 octane leaded race gas (and essentially pour money down a hole).

Yes the racing 2T is the same, and it is dyed red, so you know you have mixed gas. But it will be red instead of the blue your used to. Av gas is almost as cheap as regular 87 pump gas and more stable, and lasts longer. I think that's why a lot of us use it regularly.
