My 90's super xl need help

Hello. I finally got my homelite super xl in from the USPS. Now i have a delimma. I need to replace the fuel line . Do i have to split the fuel tank in order to do that? Also it has the zama carb. Which carb is the better one for it?

dang that's a nice saw. get that fuel line fixed and put some scratches on it! you shouldn't need to split the case to replace the line. jus fish it through using some thin piano wire with a small hook on the end. as for the carb question. I believe the early ones had a tillotson HS. either is a good carb for me as long as it has full adjustable jets.

You don't need to split the tank to replace the line. Just some pliers or some E.T.-like fingers.
